Our Mission
To ensure that every child sees themselves reflected in the stories they read in the classroom. And to provide content that encourages them to read on their own just for the pure joy of it.
And we're using Regina "Reggie" Brown, the lovable super-reader and future author-slash-librarian from the pages of the middle-grade title You're Too Much, Reggie Brown by author Kamichi Jackson to do it.
The Book
The heart and soul of the Reggie Brown Reads Digital Literacy Program, You’re Too Much, Reggie Brown introduces readers to the relatable fourth-grade bookworm whose curiosity and big personality light up every page.
In three spirited stories, Reggie learns a lesson about generosity after volunteering at a community book event (The Big Book Festival), gets a special makeover that teaches her what true beauty is (The New & Improved Reggie Brown), and discovers why it's better to be a gracious winner when a talent show dance performance makes her an elementary school celebrity (The Famous Reggie Brown).
